Community Section Open! I’d love to hear from you!

March 25, 2007This BlogNo Comments

My Chingo audio commentsWhat about a blog isn’t about community? We’ve got comments, rss feeds, email feeds, newsletters, bookmark options, ratings, and an email a friend link. This whole entire site is one big community playground. The thought of launching a community section I guess just spells it out even more. So what in the world could I add to this web blog that hasn’t been done yet? Audio Comments! Click and leave me a message online especially if you have benefited from using the template. Just pretend like you’re leaving me a message on my blog answering machine so that when I get home I can actually listen to what you’d like to share.

March 18, 2007This Blog2 Comments

Neo Palms up stops BulletsWe have reached a milestone at Palm Organized and it is time to reflect. This blog started one month ago on February 18, 2007. Our very first post was the Bonsai GTD implementation which, except for yesterday, has garnered at least one comment a day. This is just one of many accomplishments and Neo salutes the Palm Organized in us all & gives you the Palm Organized Power Sign.

A big thank you to all of you who have posted and or even just visited. I want to thank you for your trust and partnership whether that means you commented, browsed & left, bookmarked the site or even subscribed. Also a special thank you to any of you who were brave enough to recommend this site to others. I am very encouraged by all of your support and this spurs me on to continue improving the site and making it a reliable and useful resource for you & your life. Thank you. Just to give you a sense of how far we’ve come in a month the following are a list of our achievements.

“Add This” to your Collection!

March 11, 2007This BlogNo Comments

Add This Logo This weekend’s post is blog related. I feel it is important to include information on services I use on this site. You’ll understand what all these colorful little badges mean. “Add this” is a blog writer’s dream. As you may have noticed I have added “add this to delicious” text links on the bottom of my posts. These links let you add that particular post as a bookmark in your Delicious bookmark collection. Delicious is just one of the many ways people keep a collection of their favorite sites and blogs as they surf. Now, how would I even know from all of the services out there which one you use? Delicious is just one of many out there. How would I know which ones to include and which ones to exclude? “Add this” lets me include pratically all of them. Save posts or the whole site to your yahoo, google, or whatever service you use to track your web visits. You will see that I have this available as an option. When you click “add this” you will have the opportunity to choose from several services people use to keep track of their online activity. This is yet another way to allow you to organize your online activity. Enjoy.

Palm Organized Myspace Edition

MySpace Logo You can’t argue with the millions of subscribers, so for those of you who use Palms and use Myspace you can have the best of both worlds. If you are already a member of this site from either posting a comment or using a newsletter and you use myspace check out my myspace. If I recognize you I will also add you as a friend. You can add comments and I can be your friend too. It can be sometimes hard to remember that the tagline for Myspace is “a place for friends.” I am just starting off the page so forgive me for any lack of content but I wanted to put the word out there and give you an opportunity to participate. Getting there is simple. My address is www.myspace.com/palmorganized. If you want to click on a simple link click here

Managing your links can be delicious!

delicious tagometerDelicious is a social bookmarking online wonder. If you come across web sites you like, such as this blog for instance, you can save them online to delicious and it will be available anywhere you connect to the internet. You can even create a group account and share bookmarks with friends. I have intergrated delicious into my blog posts so if you find a particular post you like you can save it as a bookmark on delicious and access it anywhere. All your bookmarks can be tagged. Tags are like one word keywords that allows for quick searching of your contents. You can add multiple tags per bookmark if it can occupy more than one category. I invite you to try it because it makes visiting your favorite sites that much easier and very organized. Even better is the firefox Add-on plugin for delicious. It takes less than a minute to install and can import your current bookmarks allowing for better organization than firefox’s manager. Click here for more details on the Add-on.

Update:I now use add this which has “delicious” as an option

A Blog Post Every Day

Writing on the palmThank you all for such a great beginning. Since my first post on Februrary 18, 2007 I have received a healthy amount of traffic and participation on the site. I am really grateful for this and in response I am pledging to post at least one blog entry a day. This will hopefully give you something you can count on in our relationship together. You can rest easy in the knowledge that when you are bored or looking for something to do you can always come here and find a fresh plate of Palm organizational tips & approaches to life. Just as you use your Palm everyday, I will seek to develop & build our relationship so it adds to your everyday experience of being at peace & organized.

My name is Fox and I am a Palm addict

February 25, 2007This Blog2 Comments

Palm Addict logo It’s official. Yours truly is a Palm Addict and now I get to write about it not only here but on The PalmAddicts Web Site. This was confirmed today with my first article to be published on their site detailing the GTD Bonsai implementation. I feel funny about posting about this here because this whole thing winds up being one big loop. If you go to their site and read the whole article you’ll find a link to this site which in turn has this posting about it. Thank you all for your support in helping me to deal with my addiction. I could not do it without you. I will continue to come up with good stuff and work on my writing/blogging skills especially since I have gone public with my dependency on Palms.
