Hotsync with Holdsync

April 18, 2007SyncingNo Comments

HoldsyncThis is a freeware software for Palm OS 5.0 Palms. Pardon the brevity of this blog post. It is only a couple of minutes before 12am and I want to get my post in. This program simply allows those of us who miss that cute hotsync button on the cradle (or for TX users, on the cable itself) to use one of the 4 hardware buttons to hotsync. The way this is done is by holding the hardware button just a little longer when the device is connected. This function only comes into play when you do that. Otherwise, you have your regular old Palm and can use it as if you hadn’t even installed this program. It is non-intrusive in this way. Pick it up by clicking here.

Sychronize like an Ipod

Fastsync Palm AppHello loyal readers, as you may be able to tell, I have been really busy lately. My last post was simply a video link and this post is cutting it close to being added on the following day. I wanted to acknowledge this for those of you who have noticed this. Today’s post is about a piece of Palm software that I think would be really useful. Remember back in the day when every Palm came with a cradle? Well, those days are long gone. Heck, if you wanted to even get a power adapter for your Ipod you’d have to pay extra! Nowadays you are most likely to sync your Palm with a hot sync cable. What the Apple has done with regard to this is automate syncing with connection to your cable. If you are a Palm user and you don’t have a hot sync button you need to go through menus except if you have Fastsync. This Palm program allows you so sync your Palm on Connection. If you are very well organized you can even schedule what time of the day this is supposed to happen and it will automatically. This program can definitely help to streamline the whole process of hot syncing your Palm and is definitely worth a look even though it is not free. Enjoy. Click here for it.
