How to hack a Treo by Jason Bourne

Jason Bourne hacks a treo
Jason knows Treo. In this little visual tutorial Jason does his attack and hack move to disable both his captors and the Handspring Treo. He pulls out the Sim Card, copies information into his cell using an intermediary gadget, replaces it and drops it on the floor next to his unconscious Treo owner faster than you can read this sentence. To see some amazing close-up pics showing how he did this read more.

How to get Visual Voicemail on your Palm TX

July 12, 2007Phone2 Comments

Grand Central Mobile Opening ScreenVisual Voicemail is a possibility for your Palm. All you need is Wifi and a Grand Central Account. Grand Central is a personal phone number on steroids without all the bad consequences. They are so good that Google snatched them up pretty quick to add them to their portfolio. It would take several blog posts just to go over their features. Just click here to visit Grand Central.com for more info or better yet I highly recommend listening to David Pogue’s Podcast on it. It is a joy to listen to and you will be using the kind of foul language a truly amazed person uses. Grand Central has a mobile client that is accessible on portable devices with browsers. This is where the Palm comes in. You can manage your inbox of messages just like email. On my TX I can download messages to my SD card. It is a simple mp3 file but you may have to add the .mp3 extension to get it to play. Read more for another surprise.

Palm vs the iphone. Ding! Ding!

Palm versus the iphone(Originally posted on Palmaddict 5/29/2007) Some things don’t have to wait for an iphone release and one of those things is a comparison of the navigation features between the Palm & the iphone. We were given a clear demonstration of how the iphone can help you find contacts using the finger scroll back in January. We can now compare this with how Palm deals with this. I think Quick Look-up is one of the best and most underrated features of the palm. Palm’s Quick Look-up may have even come before Apple’s instant search and definitely before Microsoft Vista’s version. I can finger scroll back and forth several times looking for my contacts if I don’t have my scroll technique down just right but with Quick Look up I can zoom in with pinpoint accuracy to any contact I want with just a few clicks.

Using your Palm TX to make phone calls!

June 9, 2007Hack, Phone1 Comment

Using Palm TX as a PhoneThere are many in the Palm Community who wish Palm would make a newer version of the Palm TX with phone capability. Well, it may surprise the uninitiated to know that you can actually use the Palm TX to make calls. The key to this depends on your definition of what it means to make calls. Here is my definition and description: I take out my palm, go through my contacts, do a couple of clicks, hear the phone ringing on my ear piece and I start talking when someone answers. You can do this and you don’t even need to touch a keypad on the Palm or cell phone. When your are done all you need to do is click the “end” button on your ear piece and you are done. The best thing about this is you can take all the notes you want, schedule appointments & tasks, and not even have to worry about any conflict with phone functionality. How is this done?

Treo Voice Dialing by “Palm”

June 6, 2007Phone, TreoNo Comments

Treo Voice Dialing Software It is not often I see software by Palm on Palmgear but this one caught my eye. It just got updated. I’m not sure what the update provides as there is no read me file in the download. There are glowing reviews over at the software section for Palm though. Supposedly there is no training needed. You can initiate calls just as you would be able to talk to your secretary or personal assistant (”Call Bob Rogers at home”). You can even dial by voice. The other features include initiating email, sms, and applications. This is the kind of software that makes you believe a treo sans keyboard could actually become a possibility. I know it doesn’t help in typing the actual content but now that we have a Foleo maybe a virtual area on a Treo is not so bad after all.

Call Me! Any time, Any place, Any where. Call Me!

Snapvine interface Yes you can call me at anytime, at anyplace, and from anywhere. This is one of those web 2.0 things that I believe has great potential. Some of you may recall that I used Jaxtr but that required you to input a number. This one works just like it would out in the real world. You dial a number and leave me a message. If you are not in the United States that is no problem just choose your country and leave me a message. Leave me a message telling me how you like the site, about the recent Palm Foleo or feedback about the GTD Template. You can even call just to say hi or share about using the palm. Your messages will be available online so share the best you can for all your fellow Palm Organized readers.Check out it out
