This allows you to display a chart on your iphone based on responses to a form you create on Google Docs & Spreadsheets that can be either be emailed or embedded into a blog.  For example on the You Tube page I created a link to a rating form for this video and a link you can use to view the results.

How to hack a Treo by Jason Bourne

Jason Bourne hacks a treo
Jason knows Treo. In this little visual tutorial Jason does his attack and hack move to disable both his captors and the Handspring Treo. He pulls out the Sim Card, copies information into his cell using an intermediary gadget, replaces it and drops it on the floor next to his unconscious Treo owner faster than you can read this sentence. To see some amazing close-up pics showing how he did this read more.

The alternative TX microphone hack

April 25, 2007Hack, HardwareNo Comments

Bud mic attachement for TX/T5I didn’t want to leave those of you unaccustomed to internal circuit boards out in the lurch. I know well enough that there may also be some well informed readers who would quickly point out that there are other ways. Here is one that does not require elbow grease. You just have to pay for someone else’s. Some ingenious hacker out there created an attachment microphone that attaches to the connector at the bottom of your TX. He even managed to allow space for the charging connector. This has become a little cottage industry for him and he now sells them on his own site. The disadvantage, of course, is the fuzzy protrusion - not exactly the way normal voice recorders usually design their microphones. You can check out the full review of this hack at Palm Infocenter by clicking here.

The coolest Palm TX Hack I’ve ever seen!

April 24, 2007Hack, Hardware4 Comments

Palm TX in handI can’t always come up with original content. I do hope that my particular focus finds a unique audience out there. There are literally thousands of palm software out there and Palm Addict definitely has more posts a day than I do. On some occasions they have more in one day than I do in a week. However, what I am hoping for is that the things I do focus on would be the kind of thing you would be willing to pick out of the dumpster if you were to go dumpster diving. I must admit I have been busy lately and some of my posts have been devoid of humor but I believe that it is at the very least head and shoulders above what you’d find on Palm’s Official blog. :-). Alright, alright I’ll get to the post! I was just chatting it up to you before I go all 11 O’clock news anchor. There are hacks and then there are hacks.

A good night’s sleep helps your device recharge

March 20, 2007Hardware1 Comment

Power StationWe all know how important sleep is. Sleep is able to help us recharge our batteries. What we may not consider is that our devices also need to sleep, well not really sleep. However, they do need their batteries to be recharged. One of the most frustrating things is going to use your favorite device only to see a low battery sign. You then think you should have had a V8 for some reason. Getting into the routine of recharging your devices is something we don’t often consider. I use the analogy of sleep, since we do it ourselves to make this analogy, more relevant.
