The Bonsai GTD Template Delivery

January 3, 2008Bonsai5 Comments

Subscribe to get templateI am sorry to say I have been backed up on my email quite a bit and since it is the New Year it is a perfect time to set up new structures. To those of you who have been waiting I will complete your requests by this weekend. However if you can’t wait I have set up this system where you can subscribe to my yahoo email list for Palm Organized and upon confirmation and approval of your membership and automatic email will be sent to you with a zip of both the desktop outline and the pdb file. This allows me to verify that you are the owner of your email and add you to an email newsletter I can use to update you on developments on the template and this site.
Read more to find out how this is all done.

Palm (Organized.com) GTD Project Invite.

Palm Organized inviteI am pushing the envelope and starting to involve other people now. I have gotten much busier in recent times and have worked on several other projects, so why create another one? This one will actually help you and I “Get Things Done” on a whole other level. A level that could not happen left to my own devices. I am looking for only a few people to test this new system out and gather some valuable feedback. Hopefully while we are engaged in this project we’ll be able to get things done. Just send me an email if you’re interested and I will get back to you on what’s involved in a little while and pick a few of you to begin working with. This project will probably last about a month.

If you are familiar with GTD Bonsai even better. It would also be useful if you have things to get done want to authentically implement GTD and not just tweak your system. Again, if you are familiar with my system, have a sense of humor and can keep this project between us you just may fit the bill. Just send me an email at Palmorganizedatyahoo.com and tell me a little about yourself. Till then best wishes.

GTD Bonsai 2.0 App List

PKWriteHere is the application list for the stylus-free use of GTD on the Palm. Let’s start with text entry PKWrite Rapid Text Entry. This program is a DA (Desk Accessory). In laymen’s terms this means you’ll need another program to be able to run it (a DA Launcher). There is a free one called (you guessed it) DA Launcher at Freeware Palm. While you are there you can pick up PKWrite as well.

Center Menu- is the program that gives you a center select key (stylus-free) access to all your menus in any program. You can also find this at freeware palm and avoid giving Palmgear your email. Just click here..

EasyLaunch5 - is not free. However, it is worth the price. You can do almost anything with a swipe, graffiti stroke or hard key press with this very versatile program. This one you can pick up at Handango or Palmgear. Here is the link to it at handango. Just click here.

Bonsai Outliner & the elephant. Please remember.

Bonsai Filter imageThis is not a major post but it could be because sometimes it is the little things that count. I’ll start off with a story so tuck yourselves in while I read it to you. Ready? There once was a baby elephant held in place with a rope tied to a spike that it could not escape from so it stopped trying. It grew up and never realized that it was strong even enough to pull that spike out like a toothpick in a cube of cheese. It therefore continued to live in captivity. If only someone had told the elephant. Well I am about to tell you something I discovered and like they say “the truth shall set you free.” The filter drop down even though it lives in the top right corner is not limited to 16. I know, me too and if you already knew I am pretty sure you can relate to discovering something so seemingly simple. So if you have been lamenting your limited filters realize the only limitation was in our minds. The other cool feature you may also not realize as well is the ability to go directly to a filter using a graffiti letter that matches the first initial of your filter. You can even number them and call them up by using a graffiti number (at least for 1 -9). Enjoy.
