Tell a friend? No Tell a reader. Alt + F then E

I took this image from a post about the difference between a whisper and a shout. I linked to it in my image. So if you want to read it just click the image. I like to share.

However, that was all a non sequitur to what I am going to write about today so let’s get a blogging. I was surfing the net today and I found an article I thought a friend would be interested in. I looked for a “Tell a friend” link but there was none. What to do? Copy and past the link and “compose” a new email. Ok listen, I like my friend but I am not going to go to work for them as a researcher. All of a sudden, I remembered what may be an obvious keyboard shortcut to some of you Alt + F and then E. This opened my default email program, put the title of the article in the subject, and the link in the body - all in about 2 seconds literally. One letter type to auto fill the address and send. This could become a habit.

I thought to myself this is something a blogger should tell their readers. The rest is future blog post. So to keep this handy thing to yourself Alt(ernative) F(orward) E(mail) or maybe something better. I guess that is what the comments are for. Also if you think a friend would benefit from this info and you care enough about their productivity you know what to do. If you don’t care then you won’t get offended if I seemingly implied that only caring friends would forward this. :-)
