    Hello,
thanks very much for the explanation of GTD with Bonsai. Please send me a copy of your template, if possible. I am new toBonsai and all help is welcome.

Like everyone else, I would love to get the GTD template. Thanks in advance.

    Would greatly appreciate a template

Thanks very much for the cool video, it really makes the set up very clear. I’m using a palm TX and the zoom and up down work fine but the center select button does not seem to do what the option says it should—just puts a box around the item text. Any suggestions?

    Hey Fox,

Some slight edits on the template. I’d love it, too, if you’re still giving it away. This was a great tutorial. I’m looking forward to seeing you expand on the GTD template. I like how you’ve differentiated Next Actions from other Calendar/Time-related items down the line a bit. This latter item is something that I’ve been remiss in implementing. I’ve been focusing too much on the next actions level. The Calendar/Time level allows users to get a glimpse of what’s coming up as well as the overall picture of what to expect down the line. Looking forward to more!

Dan: You are very welcome. I aim to please. This is very true and is documented in the forums at Bonsai along with my recommendation that they figure this out. Here is the link.

Not the one to wait I have figured out a workaround and this will be part of my GTD Bonsai 2.O for the TX.

The current recommendation from Natara is to edit the visual tool bar at the bottom to include an icon for note and navigate to it and click that. You’d want to make that as close as possible to the left in terms of location to you don’t have to use extra clicks to get to it.

Kevin: The principles in the template are still the same. I had not realized how some people did not really grasp the template until I put up that amateurish silent video I did way back when. I realized how important it was to make this more spelled out. I improved my presentation, wrote a script and wallah!

It is still free since it is what I was offering before. However this time around I will spell out the project trick you mention in your post in video and not have that be a secret anymore. You will see in full video as clearly as I demonstrated the zoom function how to distinguish project actions from all next actions.

Experimenting with monetizing my efforts I used Revver but getting $1.00 for 1,000 views may not be worth it. So I am still debating this. I am exaggerating on the ratio but my sense from searching is that is approximately how it is. We’ll see.

I don’t mind offering this for free as long as I have something better in the can as an upgrade and I certainly do and that may be worth money. Who knows. Either way it is exciting doing what you love and a worthy challenge to get the recognition you deserve both monetarily and recognition-wise .

Fox, everyone can tell that this is a passion for you. I’m sure that you’ve helped many people these past month through your blog. I’m sure you’ve helped and inspired even more in the past through the Natara forums, too. I have no idea how much it costs to put up sites like yours and have unique features such as the homemade instructional videos. I love the clarity of Rewer. The only thing I don’t like is that we can’t upload this onto our blogs to send more traffic your way. We could write about it but the visuals are much more profound and impacting.

Perhaps you should consider setting up a PayPal account where people can voluntarily support this site. We don’t have to send tons of money (unless someone can spare that much), but every dollar would add up to help you provide whatever enhancements and content you would like to post. Just a thought…

Thanks for the feedback. I think I’ll continue to use Revver based on your comments. There is absolutely no problem sharing this video. or any others. Revver provides lots of ways to share and if it isn’t apparent it is just because I have not made the options available yet while learning this thing.

One way right off is to email this video. I will soon figure out how to allow anyone to share it on their blog. This can even be podcasted on itunes as a video. The world is wide open.

    4. Dan - This is addressed in the follow-up videos and my precious email that some people reading these comments may not know I sent to you when I got this comment :-)

I am just new to palm and it’s wealth of software. I did not realise the power of Bonsai until now.

Please send me a copy of GTD template. If you could point me to sites a newbie will be interested in will greatly appreciate this.

I’ve been very intrigued by your videos — they make GtD using Bonsai so much more easy to understand. Would you mind sharing your template? I’m eagerly awaiting the updates you’re making to the GtD Project. As a relatively new user, It’s nice to know that there are folks out there I can learn from. It’s nice to know, using the X-Files, We Are Not Alone.

    …Dana
