The alternative TX microphone hack
I didn’t want to leave those of you unaccustomed to internal circuit boards out in the lurch. I know well enough that there may also be some well informed readers who would quickly point out that there are other ways. Here is one that does not require elbow grease. You just have to pay for someone else’s. Some ingenious hacker out there created an attachment microphone that attaches to the connector at the bottom of your TX. He even managed to allow space for the charging connector. This has become a little cottage industry for him and he now sells them on his own site. The disadvantage, of course, is the fuzzy protrusion - not exactly the way normal voice recorders usually design their microphones.
