VodPod - Another Blog Innovation

VodPod BetaPublish or perish. Adapt or die. Lead, follow, or get out of the way. Faced with the prospect of writing each day, with or without positive feedback but simply for the sake of integrity, you need to innovate because you never know when what you do will take you to that next level. After all, I have at least a few people getting this feed. You may be one of them reading it right now. I owe it to you/them and at the very least to myself (at this early stage) to have my best be better come rain or come shine. Today’s blog post is about our blog and it’s about innovation. I have uploaded a new video. It is one of the best Matrix Videos I have ever seen. It is simply awesome. I have updated the video section and posted the video there using a brand new video display technology. It is called Vodpod. I have been remiss to post videos each week without having a place to put the older ones where new visitors can view them. Vodpod serves as a Blog Video Jukebox. I can have a video gallery of early videos and still showcase the latest videos I want to feature. Enjoy.

This is something similar to what it looks like they are going to be doing on http://www.videosticky.com It looks like they will allow you to create a channel of videos from different sites and put the content into your blog with a widget. Blog Video Jukebox… I never thought of it that way, but i think that is a good analogy. It is a nice way to keep people on your site and have all your video in one area instead of spread all over the place on the blog.

I just saw on their blog today that they are letting registered alpha users in this week.

Thank you for your comment. It is good to know what is out there in terms of alternatives. I took a look at their site and compared to vodpod it looks like it will take them several years to catch up.

There site design is so 1996 though. Given their site is about the visual medium it is shocking how bad their design is. I like to follow the motto of if you can’t say something nice don’t say anything at all but in this case it would be like pretending there wasn’t an 800 pound gorilla in the room.

    Thanks for the info though.

here ia an excellent freeware scheduling/productivity type palm os app.
    Diddlebug.
    http://diddlebug.sourceforge.net/index.htm

It is a graphical notepad with export plugins to send data to various different built in palm apps. This is mostly for for users of older OS 3.5+ handhelds and may not be suitable for new Treo users.

    give it a looksee.
