Tomorrow is Today & Coming Attractions
Okay, welcome back to the conversation I started last month. Today is April 1st and I still intend to keep my promise of at least one post a day. When I last posted in March I talked about how March was the first step in the ladder to a future unimaginable. Now, I am building this next step called April. I could then use it to get to May and yet I don’t even know what April looks like yet so this is really exciting. It is already the start of April and I can say that my biggest accomplishment so far is that this is the earliest posting I have ever done compared to any previous one done in March. I can already feel the momentum of this new month. I am happy to include you all in the journey. In March, I mostly presented to you what software and hardware was out there and available to make your life more organized. In April, I hope to reveal more of the insights, ideas, and realizations of their implementation as well.
One of the things I love about going to a really good movie is the promise of a sequel. There is the anticipation and excitement of knowing that if the same people behind the first one are going to work on a second one, you will be in for a treat. This treat includes all that time waiting for the sequel to come out. I believe this was the case for the sequels for Star Wars, Back to the Future, and The Matrix. However, it is not always the case that the reality lives up to the expectation but when it does you hope there is a trilogy. Another element surrounding this is secrecy. How could there be any suspense or anticipation if the gift of opening night is at all disclosed denying you of virgin moments of surprise and awe? You don’t want to know because when the show starts it will be just like the first time only better. You willingly give all trust to the filmmaker to take you on that journey and this complete trust gives you your experience.
I am working on my own version of a movie (it’s not a movie but what a version of it would be for a blog). I am hoping for a July release date and I don’t know exactly how the final form will look but I have the main structure for it in place. As I mentioned secrecy is one of the components. I will be looking for opportunities to share about my progress along the way while at the same time keeping this project well gift wrapped. I would always marvel at how really good comedians continue to generate great material time after time and maintain a longevity that is their own unique signature. I will just have to trust and believe that this kind of abundance of material is not only doable but is also a natural expression of what is possible for me and anyone. So until then “Coming Soon to a Computer Near You…”

It is very interesting to see your thought process evolve as each day progresses forward. I need to take some time myself to think, and to plan for my own writing endeavors. Heck, I need to take some time to reflect and plan or at least, take stock of where I’m at with my marriage, being a father, at work, etc.
I use GTD for my projects at work. However, I haven’t really taken the time to sit down and apply this methodology to my own life. You’ve got me thinking, Fox…

Appreciation for what we’ve accomplished will give us the foundation & perspective for what is possible. And more than this “what is possible” will help guide us there. We just need to know who’s on first, What is second, and I don’t know what is the third.
