Palm Calendar Quick Tip
A key aspect to being organized is being ready. One thing I do has to do with how I set up my Calendar in Palm. If you have a Palm you may find that right now your calendar is either set to the agenda view or the daily view. I set my calendar to the month view. This saves me from going to the monthly or weekly view to schedule something. I find that most of the time when I schedule something it is not on the same day and on some occasions not even in the same week. When your Palm opens up to the monthly view you are in most cases one tap away from the day you want to schedule an appointment for. What if you want to see what you are doing today? Like I said, a key aspect to being organized is being ready and I am ready for that question. My reply is that you can get to today with 2 clicks of your center select button on your 5 way navigator or 2 clicks of your calendar hard key. Display options under the options menu allows you to set the default view.
Bonus Trick: If you use your stylus and write a number (in the day view) you are brought to a screen where you can select the time for your appointment. So to recap, you can hit the calendar button to see the current month, select the day for your appointment with one tap, and set the time for it in one stroke. This is just 3 movements. Maybe I should have titled this “Palm Calendar Quick Taps.”

Thanks Fox,
I changed my default to the monthly view.
Subtle but it definitely makes a difference.

Gaaah! Amazing!
I changed my default view to monthly as well. For the others who would try this, make sure that your virtual graffiti or DIA is off/down to see the schedule for the day. Either that, or go through the “Favorites” app first (to bring the DIA down), then go to Calendar.
Thanks for the tip, Fox!

I don’t quite understand what you mean about the DIA showing the schedule for the day but thank you for including the Palm Devices with a virtual graffiti area into the mix. I can sometimes base my tips on a particular type of Palm device and forget about the others.
