Double your Palm Screen Size?
I always wanted a Palm UMPC but the Palm OS doesn’t run on devices with larger screens unless something like Keylink works for you. In that case, you may find yourself tethered to an umbilical palm. I tried so many things to see if I could make this happen and then I came up with an alternate best solution, which turned out to be very inexpensive. What you see in today’s blog pic is what they call a magnifier. Look ma, no hands! I looked at & researched several but this one was the best. It includes an adjustable neck strap and nice rubber feet.
I bought this from Circuit City. This helped me to justify that this was actually a gadget accessory. The company is even called “Nexxtech.” The total cost of this including shipping was under $10. It doubled my screen size and made using the palm feel like I was working on a large screen. The only drawback is this albatross around your neck will definitely peg you as the geek or visually impaired but who cares. If you are as much a Palm and computer geek we crossed that road long ago. Excuse me gotta take 10 minutes to look away from the screen ….. Thank you. Finally, I want to commend myself for resisting any of the obvious inappropriate jokes but deduct 2 points for mentioning not so humbly that I did.
