Okey, your key to Navigation without “Control”
If you don’t understand the heading that’s fine. It is a play on words using Palm OS terminology for its navigation features. Newer palms, in particular the TX, have this feature called “Control Navigation,” which basically means you can move a blue border framed box around your screen to access various parts of your screen like drop down menus, toolbars, buttons (Okay, Done, Cancel, etc). The idea is that, just like using your stylus to activate your different menu headings, you should be able to access different parts of your screen with the 5 way navigator and eliminate the need for stylus tapping.
Like I said earlier, this is a feature of newer palms. What about older but goodie palms? This is where “Okey” comes in. It simulates those same functions, but without a blue border. I use a Zire 72 because I like to use the camera to capture paranormal evidence and record my observations. The Zire 72 came out before “control navigation” was implemented into the OS so I use Okey to do the same thing any TX user is able to do. It is also another Freeware find. It is pretty simple to set up. All you need to do is enable it. Check out reviews at palmgear. It is practically a 5 star program save a Tungsten browser issue. Sony palms have added benefits if you use those models. I love it because I appreciate one-handed operation anytime I can get it. This time I am sending you over to another palm freeware site that is not riddled with pop ups like freewarepalm.com
